Her attention to the needs of others springs from her upbringing on an Iowa farm. Her lessons about animal behavior translated well to human behavior as her career progressed from hospitality and travel to non-profit association and Chamber leadership. As the VP and CREO at The Greater KC Chamber of Commerce, she served on the Executive Committee, Board of Directors and Membership Development Advisory Board of ACCE. Honors include Influential Woman of Kansas City (2010), Top 10 nationally in membership retention (2008 – 2010) and the Bottom Line Impact Award for Kansas City in 2002.
She has a broad range of appreciation for cultural and economic dynamics. Understanding the wholesomeness, hard work ethic and gratitude for where things come from while growing up in a small rural community. That experience was enhanced by living in six communities across four states until settling in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Here she has polished her talents in servant leadership with her high energy and innate understanding of business.
